Highrise is a map set atop a skyscraper. Players who fall or are knocked off the edge face certain death from the void. This must be considered before approaching the edges of the map.

A long windowsill can offer refuge for humans. There are two ways to access it. The first is by jumping off the main building, over the void, and onto a ladder. Zombies taking this approach are vulnerable to being knocked into the void by swords or bows, and a well-timed grenade can cause zombies to fail the jump and fall to their deaths. The alternate entrance is climbing a cable made of ladder blocks. This is a slower parkour, but it is a safe distance from the void. This entire position is exposed to skeletal arrows, but is also easy to escape.

Humans also gather atop two of the yellow cranes and the thin top floor of the building they connect to. There's hardly any parkour between spawn and here, but the long, thin paths are ideal for ranged combat. This spot is favored by those with knockback, and it also offers ample opportunity for using bows and grenades. The entire area is exposed to skeletons, and there is a risk of humans being knocked into the void. Escape is most possible in the thin top floor or the building.

History[]

Originally, players could climb onto the roof of one of the buildings. However, this position was too easy for humans to defend, particularly once knockback became more common. It was therefore removed to give zombies a better chance.

Strategy[]

One of the main strategies on Highrise is to knock oppenents into the void. This is very popular for anyone with the prestige perk knowckback. This is also very popular with the main spots to go onto the map.

You can also successfully run along the map and avoid zombies for a game. (Know this is not the reccommended strategy.)
